Change-congress.org is organizing a strike against donations to congress until legislation is passed that requires politicians to raise their funds from the people and not special interest groups. You may have heard of this movement on The Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert.
So we've poured billions into failing companies, the companies laugh in our faces, and we still think debt is a good idea. Times like these call for simple words.
Short answer: we can not pay for it!!!!!!!!!!! If you took ALL of the taxable income for EVERYONE in the US who made over $75,000 dollars a year, we still would fall short of paying for the government's current proposed budget.
